Wrapped on indie film, wrapped on an industrial for the U.S. Army

I had a busy Summer and Fall in a variety of gigs – rewarding experiences working on 2 plays during the summer – The Merry Wives of Windsor (Terrace) with Brave New World Rep and URANUS (a play about waste) with Superhero Clubhouse.  I  also had 8 shoot days playing the lead for an indie film on location in Ridgefield, CT which wrapped in October.

In September I booked an industrial for the U.S Army playing a principal role on a sexual harassment training video, 4 shoot days.  It was a well run production with good cast and crew.

I also shot a funny web commercial directed by Emily Sheskin for a Brooklyn gym on Dec. 10 which should be finished up in post very soon.

URANUS

I’ve been hard at work rehearsing with the NYC based Green Theater company, Superhero Clubhouse.
We’ll be workshopping the first half of URANUS (a play about waste) for an invited audience in May.  You can catch the whole thing as part of the Figment Festival on Governor’s Island June 10-12, a free, outdoor event.  We will have another performance in Brooklyn at The Bushwick Starr on June 7.  Find out more at http://www.superheroclubhouse.org/

I’ll also be re-visiting my role in Collide after successful runs at Dixon Place and Baruch Performing Arts Center with dance theater company, Lane & Co.  Mikhail Baryshnikov himself was in the audience in April!  May 28 and 29 at Triskelion Arts in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

“Four”

The Dixon Place show March 31 was a blast.  We had a full house and the performance was something special for me – a great experience working in collaboration with these superb dancers, fusing my acting with the dance and making sense of it.

I’ll be re-visiting my role in “Collide” this weekend as part of  “Four” (4 Choreographers/4 New Works) for 3 performances.

Booked an industrial

Booked an industrial which will be shooting next week.  It’s a comedic spoof of work life inside an ad agency.

I also had a couple commercial callbacks this week.  Various projects and possibilities in the cooker including a lead role in an indie feature scheduled to shoot sometime this Summer, as well as some exciting theatre work.  Stay tuned!  Thanks and Happy Spring…

readings at La MaMa E.T.C. & voice-over booking – Feb, 2011

Launched my site!  I look forward to updating it from time to time, and all that lies ahead this year as I continue my journey as an actor.  Thanks for stopping by..

Most recently I recorded my 2nd voice-over for Alpine Meadows (ski resort) at Penny Lane Studios with the fine folks from The Concept Farm and Penny Lane.  Penny Lane Studios is an extraordinary place.  The people there as well as from The Concept Farm are fun, friendly and professional.

I was also happy to do 2 play readings with La MaMa E.T.C. for their Experiments ’11 – Shadow Festival celebrating Black History Month in late February.  Ain’t Ethiopia by Michael Bennencourt and Kleitos Agoniste by Owa.  I also read in Sherman Town: (Baseball, Apple Pie, and the Klan) by Calvin Alexander Ramsey in December at La MaMa.  Terrific casts directed by George Ferencz.
